Tillotson Fund awards $575,000 in grants to 16 groups

CONCORD (AP) - The town of Pittsburg, New Hampshire, will receive $25,000 to build a gazebo and walking path at the town park as part of more than $575,000 in grants awarded to 16 organizations and projects throughout New Hampshire and bordering communities in Vermont and southern Quebec.

The grants are being awarded by the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.

The largest grant of $210,000 was awarded to the North Country Health Consortium of Littleton, New Hampshire, for capacity building support over three years.

The town of Canaan, Vermont, is receiving $18,675 for consultants to develop a multi-year strategic plan.

The Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund is one of the largest permanent rural philanthropies in the country, distributing $3 million in grants annually.
