LACONIA — Three protesters that were arrested in May supporting the "Free the Nipple" movement have pleaded not guilty and waived their arraignment.

Ginger Pierro, 28, of Canaan, was arrested by Laconia police on Saturday, May 28, at about 4 p.m. at Endicott Park Beach for public nudity. Two days later, May 31, Heidi Lilley, 55 of Gilford, and Kia Sinclair, 24, of Danbury, were arrested at the beach at about 1 p.m. for the same charge, according the Laconia Citizen.

They are charged with violating Laconia's town ordinance that prohibits the display or female or male genitals in a public area, pubic area or buttocks not fully covered, or the showing of the female breast with less than a fully opaque covering of any part of the nipple

The women are all represented by Dan Hayes.

The women are awaiting a trial date.

No further information is available at this time.
