Thousands of Catholic school students gather in Manchester's Delta Dental Stadium for mass
MANCHESTER — The Diocese of Manchester held the first of its kind consecration mass at the Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester on Tuesday morning.
More than 6,000 kindergarten through 12th-grade students from 27 Catholic schools in the state attended to hear Bishop Peter Libasci celebrate Catholic education and to "consecrate our entire system of Catholic schools to the Blessed Mother."
According to the Diocese of Manchester's website this is an opportunity for students to be united in prayer for the future of all their Catholic schools.
The event was held at no cost to the students; however, each school was asked to sell tickets to a Fisher Cats game on June 24.
