FRIDAY Nashua South (2-2) at Timberlane (1-3) WHEN: Friday, 6:30 p.m. WHERE: Timberlane Regional High School, Plaistow. LAST WEEK: Salem 24, Timberlane 21; Nashua South 18, Nashua North 14. 2013 RESULT: Nashua South 38, Timberlane 13. FYI: Owls quarterback Jason Hughes seems to be finding a rhythm with freshman Jacob Post (104 total yards), who scored three touchdowns last week – one a 25-yarder by air, and two more via the ground from 16 and 5 yards out respectively. South offense has been showing signs of improvement since Week 1 with Josh Perry and Collin Morrow getting more touches out of the backfield to compliment the bruising style of Andrew Decarteret. Salem (3-1) at Alvirne (3-1) WHEN: Friday, 7 p.m. WHERE: Alvirne High School in Hudson. LAST WEEK: Salem 24, Timberlane 21; Alvirne 13, Merrimack 7. 2013 RESULT: Did not play. FYI: This is a great barometer for the Broncos, who have raised the bar in the last three weeks, their offense making great strides and last week their defense (159 yards allowed, three forced turnovers) standing tall. Jack Mahoney has run roughshod over the opposition with nearly 400 yards the last two weeks combined and leads Division I with 537 yards. Mike Roberts (two picks last week) has played well on defense, and will have his eyes on Salem QB John Cerretani, who has played well. Alvirne’s George Notini is second in receiving yards with 248. Lebanon (3-0) at Milford (3-1) WHEN: Friday, 7 p.m, WHERE: Milford High School. LAST WEEK: Milford 34, Pelham 24; Lebanon 41, Kingswood 0. 2013 RESULT: Did not play. FYI: It was the Bryce Walker show for the Spartans in last week’s win over Pelham.
