Third victim in deadly Kensington car crash dies of his injuries

EAST KINGSTON — A third victim in a deadly car crash in Kensington last month has died of his injuries.

According to officials at Boston Medical Center, Jack Perreault, 20, of East Kingston died on Thursday morning. He had initially survived but was in critical condition after the Feb. 29 crash that killed two of his friends, Malachi Davis, 21, and Hunter Vars, also 21. All three were graduates of Exeter High School.

The crash happened on Route 108 when the Toyota 4Runner the young men were riding in failed to make a turn and hit several trees, rolling over and ejecting all three victims.

All three young men have been remembered on social media and in interviews as lifelong friends who shared a love of snowboarding.

The accident remains under investigation by state police. Anyone with information about events that may have led to the crash are asked to contact Trooper Thomas Conlon at 223-8614.
