Third-strike theft charge for Nashua man accused of stealing an alternator

NASHUA - A Vine Street man was arrested Saturday on a third-strike felony theft charge, police said.

Police said Michael Boucher, 40, stole an alternator from PEP Boys, 274 St., on May 20. During the course of their investigation, officers learned Boucher had been convicted twice previously of theft by unauthorized taking.

Boucher faces up to seven years in prison. He was ordered held on $5,000 bail until his arraignment Tuesday.
