A new study has ranked the best colleges in New Hampshire for 2016. says it came up with the ranking based on millions of statistics and student reviews and rolled them all into one overall college ranking. The top ranked colleges are elite academic institutions that provide a good value, attract a diverse student body, and offer an exceptional college experience.

These factors are given a grade: Academics, value, professors, student surveys, diversity, student life, athletics, campus quality, local area, and safety.

The Top 10

No. 1 - Dartmouth College (National Rank: 22)

Highest Grade: Academics, Value, Professors - A+

Lowest Grade: Safety - C

No. 2 - University of New Hampshire

Highest Grade: Campus Quality - A

Lowest Grade: Safety, Diversity - C+

No. 3 - Saint Anselm College

Highest Grade: Value, Professors - B+

Lowest Grade: Diversity - C+

No. 4 - Plymouth State University

Highest Grade: Professors - A-

Lowest Grade: Safety - C-

No. 5 - Southern New Hampshire University
