Theft charge for former Farmington, NH, fire chief from Maine

FARMINGTON - The former fire chief in Farmington has been indicted on charges he stole at least $1,500 in town funds.
Richard Fowler, 48, of Skowhegan, Maine, was charged with taking the money between November 2009 and June of this year.
Fowler was fired in August from his job leading the Skowhegan department.
According to the indictment, the amount of money Fowler is accused of taking is more than $1,500.
Fowler faces 7½ to 15 years in prison if he's convicted on the charge of theft by unauthorized taking.
