Texas woman arrested for selling counterfeit goods at Laconia Bike Week

LACONIA - A Texas woman was arrested for selling counterfeit goods while other fake items were seized from several vendors during Laconia's Bike Week.

Marife Olaer, 44, of Corpus Christi, was arrested in the vending area off Route 3 in the Weirs Beach area Friday. Police executed a search warrant at USA Cool Hats and seized 560 items identified as counterfeit with an estimated retail value of $19,600. Olaer was arrested for dealing in counterfeit goods and released on $1,000 cash bail.

Counterfeit items at three other vendor booths were also seized:

Joe’s Steel of Leganto, Fla., 77 counterfeit items with an estimated retail value of $1,050.

Blood, Sweat, and Gears of Madison, S.D., 10 counterfeit items with an estimated retail value of $157.86.

Cycle Tramps of Buffalo, N.Y., 11 items with an estimated value of $1,140.
