Teen in court after allegedly shooting girlfriend
MANCHESTER - A teenager was in court Monday after allegedly shooting his girlfriend in Manchester on Saturday.
Damian Walsh, 18, appeared in court in Manchester on Monday morning after police said he shot his 16-year-old girlfriend.
The shooting happened on Manchester's west side.
Walsh said in court that the shooting was an accident. The victim remained in serious condition at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.
A man who appeared in court on Monday said he was the victim's father. He told NH1 News that the victim was "not doing well."
Walsh was charged with felony reckless conduct and falsifying physical evicence. One whitness told police they saw Walsh throw a handgun into the Merrimack River.
Walsh was being held on $50,000 bail, cash or surety. He is due back in court April 2.
