Teen hit by car in Plaistow in critical condition
PLAISTOW – A 15-year-old from Massachusetts in in critical condition a day after he was hit by a car on Main Street around 9:30 p.m.
Police, who asked for the public's help to identify the young man, say they now know who he is and have notified his family, who joined him at the hospital. The teen, who is from Merrimac, Mass., is being cared for at Massachusetts General Hospital.
"I want to thank the public for their support and assistance in this incident," Plaistow police Lt. William Baldwin said in a statement.
The teen was walking southbound near Sanborn's Candy when he was struck by a vehicle at Main Street and Route 125, police said.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident is cooperating with police and police say the accident remains under investigation.
