Team of rescuers carry injured hiker to safety in Lincoln

LACONIA - Rescue team carries an injured hiker to safety, who hiked up Falling Waters Trail at Franconia Notch.

Luis Serrano, 34 of Lowell, Mass., slipped on a wet and icy trail and seriously injured his leg around 2 p.m. Sunday.

Rescue teams carried Serrano back to the trailhead where Linwood Ambulance checked his leg.

"The hiking trails in New Hampshire still have snow and ice, eve at the beginning of the trails," Conservation Officer Jeremy Hawkes said.

He stressed to have appropriate gear.
