Tactical police vehicle involved in crash with car when responding to shooting in NH town
FARMINGTON — State Police and Farmington police responded to a crash Monday after a car hit a tactical police vehicle.
Shorty before 4:15 a.m. Monday New Hampshire State Police was called to assist Farmington police with an accident involving a small car and a police Bearcat tactical truck parked on Milton Road.
The tactical vehicle belonged to the Strafford County Tactical Team who were conducting an operation to arrest a man who had broken into a home and shot the homeowner.
The driver of the small car, Jason Slattery, 31, of Milton, was traveling south on Milton Road when he crashed into the Bearcat, police said.
Slattery was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The people inside the Bearcat were not injured in the accident.
