SWAT team responds to report of man who threatened Hudson homeowners with gun


HUDSON - A Somersworth man is in custody after police say he entered a home on Woodcrest Drive and threatened the owners with a handgun on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the homeowners were able to flee the house and get to a safe location. Police surrounded the home and called for a SWAT team. Once the SWAT team arrived, they surrounded the house and made an effort to contact the man inside. They were subsequently able to enter the home and arrest Matthew Felton, 36.

Felton was charged with burglary and criminal threatening.

Hudson police say the incident remains under investigation, but no one living nearby was believed to be an any danger.
