SWAT helps arrest man wanted in Maine and NH for attempted rape, theft

NORTH CONWAY — The New Hampshire State SWAT and the State of Maine Violent Offender Task Force assisted State Police in arresting a Maine man for attempted rape on Oct. 19.

Ricky Morin, 32, of Buxton, Me., was arrested for an incident that occurred on Oct. 12, where he allegedly made threats against law enforcement. Morin was a fugitive from the State of Maine due to this incident.

Morin was reported to be in the area of Home Depot in North Conway and was quickly taken into custody without incident, according to police. He was not armed at the time of his arrest.

Morin was also wanted in the State of New Hampshire for theft by unauthorized taking and falsifying physical evidence, both felonies.

He is scheduled to be arraigned by video on Thursday at about 9 a.m. in the 3rd Circuit Court, Conway District for fugitive from justice. Morin is currently being held at the Carroll County Jail in Ossipee.
