KEENE — Bail for a Swanzey woman accused of selling “Donald Trump” labeled heroin out of her home was reduced from $50,000 cash to $10,000 cash at her arraignment at the Cheshire County Superior Court in Keene on Friday afternoon.

The Union-Leader reported Amy Akin, 40, of 226 South Road, was arrested and charged Thursday with possession of heroin with the intent to sell or dispense it.

Based on a tip, Swanzey police investigated and found Akin was allegedly dealing heroin on a daily basis, travelling to Greenfield, Mass., every two days to pick up the heroin. In March, Darcie Hall, 36, of Troy, was charged with two counts of selling "Trump" heroin. Court records says state police believe Hall was a runner for Akin, who was the source of the heroin Hall sold.

After a drug task force investigation, Akin’s home was searched, during which more than 600 bags of heroin were seized, with each bag containing about 1 gram of heroin, court records show. The bags of heroin were hidden in a DVD player and stamped with a “Donald Trump” logo.

Akin's lawyer Mark Sisti said Akin is disabled from an injury sustained while lifting a patient while working as a LPN in Florida.
