Suspected NH drug dealer out on bail arrested for tampering with witness and theft

LEBANON — A man arrested on drug charges earlier this month has been arrested again after threatening a witness in his drug distribution case.

Matthew Clair, 33, of Lebanon was arrested on October 12 for possessing over two pounds of marijuana and a significant quantity of psilocybin mushrooms, according to police.

Police received a report on October 24 that Clair was threatening a witness in his case. Clair allegedly made several threats to a witness in the case through text.

Clair has also stolen property from the witness and then demanded money for its' return.

Clair was charged with tampering with witnesses and informants, a felony, theft by unauthorized taking, a misdemeanor, and breach of bail conditions, due to being out on bail from the previous offense.

He was held on $10,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on October 27 in Lebanon.
