Suspect sought after Manchester Express Mart doors smashed in, cash stolen

MANCHESTER— An express mart was robbed after its doors were smashed in, Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to Z1 Express, 650 Second Street, around 3:50 a.m. to the report of a burglary.

The owner, Jack Nasz, 48 of Manchester, told police that an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the register.

The video surveillance showed the suspect remove cash from the register before also taking two packs of cigarettes from the shelf.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, unknown height and weight, last seen wearing a mask, gloves, jeans and a black and white hooded sweatshirt with unknown writing on the front.

The video surveillance captured the suspect fleeing on foot toward Queen City Avenue.
