MANCHESTER — Police responded to an armed robbery at the 7-11 convenience store on Queen City Avenue early Sunday morning.

Debra Root, 48, told police that a man walked into the store holding a pistol that he pointed at her as he demanded she hand over the cash in the register.

Root said she handed over a stack of $1 bills before he reached in and grabbed stacks of $5 and $10 bills. The suspect then took off on foot.

The man was described as a white male, about 5'8" with short, dark hair.
