Suspect broke into neighbor's home and attacked him; resisted arrest

LACONIA — Police arrested a man on assault charges after allegedly breaking into his neighbor's home and attacking him.

Jesse Colgan, 32, of Ashland, was charged with burglary and resisting arrest.

Officers reported to an alleged "loud disturbance" coming from within 5 Washington Street at about 11:15 p.m.

Police officers were approached by the victim and he told them that Colgan had broken into his home and assaulted him.

Colgan was held on $5,000 cash bail and will be arraigned on September 6 at the Belknap County Superior Court.
