Survey says 2 NH cities among best in US for beer and breweries, including 1 in top 12
HAMPTON - New Hampshire loves beer (well most folks, anyway).
Livability.com celebrated craft beer by labeling the best beers in 99 U.S. cities - and a Seacoast city made finished really high on the list!
Hampton came in at No. 12, with most of the credit going to Smuttynose Brewery - named after one of the nine Isles of Shoals located right off the N.H. coast.
The brewery creates craft beer including the Baltic Porter, which has been given a rare perfect score on RateBeer.com.
Smuttynose was chosen as New Hampshire's best craft beer based on data of quality beer, macro beers and overall dining and drinking in cities and towns, according to Liveability.
The town or city chosen also has to have at least two breweries and had as many different beers as possible.
Manchester also made the list at No. 80.
Candia Road Brewing Co., White Birch Brewing and Milly's Tavern got shout outs in the survey.
