A new study compared the welfare of children in all 50 states to distinguish the best and worst states for underprivileged children.
The study determined that New Hampshire is the best overall state for children to live in.
WalletHub used a variety of categories to determine the best and worst states including infant death rates, maltreated children rates, child food-insecurity rates and more.
As well as being ranked best overall, New Hampshire also made the top 10 in three other categories.
New Hampshire is No. 2 for economic well-being for children, No. 1 for children’s health and No. 9 for education rank.
