LACONIA - Sunny skies and warm temperatures made for a perfect start to Motorcycle Week for visitors and local business on Saturday.
Bikers enjoyed a ride around Lake Winnipesaukee, with a special escort by New Hampshire State Police. Meanwhile local businesses offered bikers a variety of treats.
Pattie DiFillippo’s been working the counter at Dudley’s Ice Cream for ten years, where she serves ice-cream, shakes, root beer floats and other sweet treats.
She says she loves the excitement that comes with Laconia's Bike Week ... the oldest in the US and the third largest bringing in as many as 350,000 people each year. Business was good on Saturday but she expects even more customers on Sunday.
Business is good, but Pattie says …
“Sunday will be really, really busy,” she predicted. As long as Mother Nature cooperates for day two of the event.
“The weather. The weather controls everything,” she noted.
