Subaru recalls Tribeca SUVs over problem with hood latch

NH1.com

If you have a 2006-2014 Subaru Tribeca SUV you may want to bring it in for a check.

The carmaker says a defect could cause the hood to unexpectedly open while driving. The issue was brought to Subaru’s attention in September after a lawsuit was filed.

The driver claimed the hood of the 2006 Tribeca opened while driving. The defective part was manufactured in Bardstown, KY.

Owners can bring the vehicles into the dealer for an inspection, the repair parts will not be available until later this year. All owners will be notified. The recall involved 77,000 vehicles.
