Study says epidemic levels of near-sightedness expected by 2050 - here's why


How is your eyesight?

A new study claims half of the world will be short sighted by 2050. That is nearly five billion people will have a tough time seeing things in the distance.

The study out also claims one-fifth of the world’s population - 1 billion people - are at increased risk of blindness.

This is all credited to the increased use of electronic devices.

However, there are some things you parents can do to help.

Have your kids eyes checked regularly, spend more time outside, and cut down on near based activities including electronic devices.
