Study finds Concord is one of the best state capitals to live in


CONCORD – Did you know Concord is one of the best state capitals to live in?

Of course you did, Concord and New Hampshire are the best, right?

Well, in a SmartAsset study of the 2015 best state capitals to live in, Concord ranked No. 8.

The Granite State capital ranked among one of the safest state capital cities in the U.S. and has an exceptionally low unemployment rate of 3.2% - the eighth lowest rate among state capitals.

Other factors that contributed to the top state capitals were crime rates, median household income and dining and entertainment establishments.

Each state capital was ranked and then averaged out and compared – and that is how Concord grabbed a top 10 seat.

Which state capitals are the worst places to live?

Trenton, NJ, Columbia, SC, Tallahassee, Fl, Jackson, MI and Hartford, Ct were the bottom five state capitals on the list.
