HILLSBOROUGH - Seven students were treated for headache and nausea after a reported chemical spill at Hillsboro-Deering High School led to an evacuation of the building.
Officials say no one has been hospitalized, but all students were being sent home for the day.
A Hazmat team arrived at the school Thursday morning after the evacuation. Students say they heard there'd been a chemical spill in a science lab. Students who in the lab were checked by the school nurse and parents were contacted and asked to pick them up.
Other parents, however, say they are disappointed that they were not notified.
Officials say their investigation should be done by the end of the day, and the school will likely be back in session on Friday.
