Student sends rejection letter in response to a rejection letter

A 17-year-old student applying to colleges across the country wasn't happy with her rejection letter from Duke University.

That's when she decided to write a rejection of the rejection letter that's now going viral.

Using the same structure of the letter, she responded to Duke with a hilarious letter of her own, and posted it on the social media website Tumblr.

The letter starts with: "Thank you for your rejection letter of March 26, 2015. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me admission into the fall 2015 freshman class at Duke."

She went on saying she has received rejection letters from the best and brightest universities in the country.

She then says despite the university's success in rejecting previous applications, the school did not meet her qualifications, ending her response with: "Therefore, I will be attending Duke University's 2015 freshman class. I look forward to seeing you then."

To be fair, Duke's admissions department answered the letter in a pretty reasonable way.
