DOVER - The Strafford County Public Health Network has released a 3-year Community Health Improvement Plan.

The plan looks at the health of the county, and makes recommendations for improvement.

The report shows Strafford County now ranks 8 out of 10 in the state for overall health outcomes, behaviors and self-reported quality of life (2015 County Health Rankings).

The top 5 priority areas include Substance Misuse (Prevention, Treatment and Recovery), Mental Health, Obesity and Nutrition, Emergency Preparedness, and Heart Disease and Stroke.

SCPHN says some of the initiatives have already been initiated.
