Strafford County fastest growing in New Hampshire

CONCORD — The U.S. Census Bureau says Strafford County has been the fastest-growing county in New Hampshire.
The county's population rose 0.5 percent between July 1, 2014, and July 1, 2015. Strafford County was followed by Belknap, Merrimack, Rockingham and Hillsborough counties.
The bureau says with respect to numerical growth, Hillsborough County added 1,339 people over the period, more than any other county in the state.
That was followed by Rockingham County, which grew by 1,139 people, Strafford with 634 people, Merrimack with 533 people and Belknap with 213 people.
Hillsborough is the most populous county in New Hampshire, with 406,678 residents, followed by Rockingham and Merrimack.
