Storms continues to dump snow on Seacoast
HAMPTON - Drivers on Interstate 95 said conditions were extremely poor Monday afternoon.
"I'd say they're a little bit cleaner up in Maine where they're having a little bit less snow than you are down here so - but, middle two lanes seem to be doing OK," said Ed Bregman, who was driving to Massachusetts.
"A lot of plows, a lot of sanders, and a lot of tractor-trailers" was what he saw on the road.
Truck drivers trying to guide 18-wheelers through the snow-covered roads told NH1 News conditions like this are extremely dangerous and challenging.
"I came down from Lewiston, Maine, this morning - and they're out there working hard on it, but some places they're still snow-covered and snowpack," said driver Steve Horstmyer. "It's slippery. I did not see very many cars off the road, though, which was surprising."
Conditions on the Seacoast improved a bit in the evening, but many side roads remained treacherous as crews continued to work into the night.
