Stolen golf carts lead to two arrests in Manchester

MANCHESTER - Two Raymond men face charges after they allegedly made off with two golf carts and a trailer taken from a business in Litchfield.

Manchester police were able to lend a hand after a Litchfield police officer followed two men in a pickup truck from Litchfield into the Queen City with the stolen items from the Naticook Fish and Grill.

Matthew Grondin, 32 and Pedro Cortes, 22, were charged with receiving stolen property.

In addition, Grondin was charged with violating bail conditions for a previous offense. The golf carts were valued at $2,500 each and the trailer at $1,000, making the charges felony-level offenses, police said.

Both men were arraigned in Manchester District Court on Tuesday.
