Stewart out again...Kelly gets good news...Jays power past Brewers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Tony Stewart will not race Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, the third Sprint Cup race he's skipped since his car struck and killed Kevin Ward Jr. during a sprint car race. Stewart has been in seclusion since the Aug. 8 incident at an upstate New York dirt track that remains under investigation.
UNDATED (AP) Jim Kelly shows no evidence of sinus cancer three months after the Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback completed radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Dr. Peter Costantino says in a release issued by New York City's Lennox Hill Hospital that Kelly's level of functioning is essentially back to normal and he's free of the pain he was experiencing.
MILWAUKEE (AP) Jose Bautista's three-run home run highlighted Toronto's five-run sixth inning in a 9-5 win over Milwaukee. Colby Rasmus added a two-run homer in the ninth to help the Blue Jays win for just the second time on their eight-game road trip.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) Chase Utley's go-ahead single capped a three-run fourth inning and was the difference in Philadelphia's 4-3 win over Seattle. The Mariners are battling Detroit for the AL's second wild-card spot and lost for just the third time in 10 games.
CLEVELAND (AP) Indians first baseman Nick Swisher is having arthroscopic surgery on both knees and is done for the season. Swisher has underperformed after getting a four-year, $56 million contract from the Indians before last season. Before he was sidelined, Swisher was batting .208 with eight home runs and 42 RBIs in 97 games.
