CONCORD – The New Hampshire GOP Monday night confirmed Matt Mayberry as the state party’s new vice chairman.
“Matt Mayberry is one of the most dedicated Republican activists in our party. He has worked hard for our party for over 20 years. I can’t think of anybody who cares more and who has worked harder for our party than Matt Mayberry. We’re very proud to have Matt join our team,” NHGOP Chair Jennifer Horn told NH1 News.
"Matt will provide the enthusiasm needed to win in 2016,” she added.
"I am honored and privileged to serve as Vice Chairman of the New Hampshire Republican State Committee," Mayberry said in a statement. "I look forward helping Republicans spread our fiscally responsible message and achieve sweeping victories in 2016."
Mayberry works for Carlisle Capital in Portsmouth, which along with NH1 News is owned by Bill Binnie. Mayberry has worked for many Republican political candidates and elected officials for over 36 years. The Dover resident is a former city councilor and school board member.
Mayberry was confirmed during a meeting of the NHGOP executive committee. He succeeds Bryan Gould, who resigned earlier this month after objecting to a letter by Horn to the executive committee which was extremely critical of embattled GOP congressman Frank Guinta.
