MANCHESTER – Even John Kasich’s New Hampshire state director agrees, his Granite State campaign headquarters is “an absolute mess.”
NH1 News Thursday stopped by the headquarters, on Eddy Road in Manchester, and found a ghost town.
The Republican governor of Ohio's HQ was packed with hundreds of staff and volunteers just a few days ago, but now, with the first-in-the-nation primary in the candidates’ rear view mirror, the only one left is state director Simon Thomson.
“There’s no more need for the Manchester headquarters, so we’re going to be closing it up over the next few days and collecting the things that can be used in the next couple of states, signs, other things, furniture, and moving it on,” Simon Thomson told NH1 News.
The offices were a mess.
“It’s an absolute mess. When you had 250-300 volunteers running through here over the last 72 hours, it got out of control. So I’ve got a dumpster coming and we’re just going to clean up the stuff that we can’t use and move all the other stuff on.”
