Steinhauser: First on NH1 News -- New numbers in the 2016 Facebook battle in NH

CONCORD – In the race for the White House, Hillary Clinton continues grab the most attention among Facebook users in New Hampshire.

According to new data provided to NH1 News from the social media giant, the former secretary of state and frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination had 145,000 interactions on Facebook in the Granite State from May 13 through June 13 among people 18 and older.

The interactions, from people 18 and older, include likes, posts, comments, and shares, and are not specific to a candidate’s Facebook page. The interactions could be positive or negative in nature.

Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont is on the rise in the latest polls in New Hampshire in the race for the Democratic nomination. And he’s also scoring on Facebook. Sanders had 123,000 interactions.
