Stay or go? Audio catches confrontation between officer, man illegally operating Uber in Portsmouth
PORTSMOUTH - Over the weekend, Christopher David, a known Free Stater, was operating an Uber in Portsmouth.
Uber has been barred from the city as the city council continues to talk it over.
Taxis have been protesting their emergence in the city since early last year.
A fine for operating an Uber in the city is $500 for the first offense and $1,000 for the second offense.
In the recording (video), David, the driver, clearly knows he's not supposed to be there, but thinks the service is worth risking the fine.
The customer clearly agrees with the driver (DISCLAIMER: Strong and offensive language is used by the passenger).
What do you think? Should Uber be allowed in Portsmouth?
