State police say Exeter man swallowed heroin after being pulled over in Hampton


HAMPTON - A routine traffic stop turned physical after state police say the driver resisted being searched and apparently swallowed a large quantity of heroin before being taken into custody.

According to seacoastonline.com, Noah Grassie, 26, of Exeter has been charged with drug possession, resisting arrest and attempting to falsify physical evidence.

State police say a trooper pulled Grassie over around 1:30 p.m. on Monday on Route 101 west. The trooper and Grassie ended up struggling in the breakdown lane as Grassie ingested what appeared to be heroin. He was taken to Exeter Hospital.

State police say a passenger in the car, Demetrius Ball, 31, of Dover, was found in possession of crack cocaine and was taken to the Rockingham County jail.
