State police inspect school buses after inspection scare
WESTBROOK, Maine (AP) — Half a dozen school buses have been pulled from service after they were reported to Maine State Police for expired inspection stickers.
The Westbrook buses were yanked by administrators Tuesday because of expired stickers or indicator lights. School officials say students were not in any danger because the buses were taken to mechanics immediately after the call.
Many parents expressed concern over the buses.
State police will inspect the entire Westbrook fleet Wednesday. The district says it will use an electronic database for bus records from now on.
