State Fire Marshal's Office investigates fire after mobile home burns to the ground


BRIDGEWATER — The State Fire Marshal's Office will be investigating a fire that burned a mobile home to the ground.

The residents, alerted by the home's fire detectors, escaped the home unharmed at about 7:15 p.m. Friday.

The Bridgewater Fire Department responded to 862 Mayhew Turnpike lot #6 to extinguish the burn.

At the same time, at a nearby address a man was in need of medical attention. He was treated and transported to Speare Memorial Hospital.

The fire is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Matt Wilmot of the State Fire Marshal's Office at (603) 223-4289.
