Stabbing in Wakefield leads to one arrest, another man hospitalized
WAKEFIELD — One man is hospitalized for multiple stab wounds and another is under arrest after an argument at a home on Colbath Lane on Thursday.
According to seacoastonline.com, Nicholas Desroche, 26, of Wakefield, has been charged with first-degree assault for allegedly stabbing the victim multiple times.
The victim, whom police have not identified, was badly injured and after being taken to Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro was moved to Maine Medical Center due to the severity of his injuries. He was in stable condition there, according to police.
Sgt. John Ventura, Wakefield police prosecutor, said the two men knew each other and got into an argument but would not say what the argument was about.
Desroche was arraigned in Concord Circuit Court by video from Carroll County Jail and is being held on $100,000 cash bail. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. in Ossipee Circuit Court.
