Special ski deals offered for Granite Staters who aren't Superbowl fans

The Associated Press

CONCORD — If you're not a football fan or fan of the teams playing in this 50th Super Bowl, ski areas are vying for your attention.

Die-hard skiers know they pretty much have the slopes to themselves the afternoon of Super Bowl Sunday, when football fans pack up and head for high-definition TVs and local sports bars. And New Hampshire ski area operators know it as well.

At Cannon Mountain, two people can ski or ride for $75 for the day.

Bretton Woods, celebrating its own 50th, is offering $50 lift tickets.

Gunstock is featuring a family 4-pack for two adults and two teens or kids for $214.

Other deals include Loon Mountain's $31 Sunday afternoon pass, which is also offered every non-holiday Sunday, or Sunapee's $49 half-day Sunday pass.
