Special Olympics torch comes through Concord

CONCORD - The Special Olympics torch continues to make its way across the state of New Hampshire.

On Thursday, it stopped at the State House in Concord.

The Flame of Hope has traveled nearly 800 miles across the state. It all leads up to the Special Olympics Summer Games taking place this weekend in Durham.

"All of them are so excited to get out there play hard and try to win a gold medal," said NH Special Olympics Development Director Chelsea Gill. "That's their ultimate goal and just talking with the athletes leading up to this event they're just so excited they can't wait and just really are going to go out there guns blazing so it's going to be great."

On Friday, the torch heads out to the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
