Special Olympics State Summer Games: day two

DURHAM — Day two of the Special Olympics State Summer Games is well underway.

Over the course of the two days, a thousand athletes from the state participate in a multitude of different events on the campus of the University of New Hampshire.

Special Olympics New Hampshire is not only about sports, but so much more, their website states.

"When our athletes walk into a gymnasium, step up to the pitcher's mound, or pick up a basketball, they are transformed. No longer framed by negative stereotypes and misconceptions, they see themselves as champions."
