Special election held Tuesday in Derry regarding massive budget cuts

DERRY - It's special election day in Derry.

This comes after a court order said the town must hold the elections after residents became furious regarding budget cuts the town council made.

The cuts led to the closing of a fire station in town.

According to the Derry Residents United Facebook page, more than 1,300 have already voted as of noon.

Stay tuned for more on the story as the details become available and on NH1 News tonight at 5, 6 and 10 p.m.
