Spaulding Turnpike southbound ramp to permanently close

The Associated Press

NEWINGTON (AP) — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation says some changes are coming up on Spaulding Turnpike.

It plans to permanently close the southbound off-ramp at Exit 3 to Woodbury Avenue on the turnpike in Newington on Tuesday.

Southbound traffic on the turnpike looking to access Woodbury Avenue will be detoured to the Exit 1 southbound off-ramp, and continue to Woodbury Avenue via Gosling Road. This detour will remain in effect until the new Woodbury Avenue Bridge is opened to traffic in early October.

The northbound on-ramp at Exit 3 will remain open, but will be changing locations to match the final alignment of the roadway.

Southbound traffic will also be relocated west on Tuesday to the newly paved southbound lanes under the new Woodbury Avenue Bridge.
