Southern New Hampshire towns struggle with lack of cemetery space

LONDONDERRY - Concerns are growing that a number of Southern New Hampshire communities may be running out of cemetery space.

The town budget includes allocations for employees, maintenance, and other municipal needs, but rarely do the planners consider cemetery space, according to the Eagle-Tribune.

The communities may need to purchase more land, but other factors include an increase in cremations, which take less space.
