'Soup-er Bowl' bet paid

MANCHESTER - Washington's governor made a bet with Governor Maggie Hassen over the Super Bowl win and paid it forward.

Friday Feb. 28 Hassan was at The New Hampshire Food bank, where 500 cups of Washington's state clam chowder was donated after the New England Patriots superbowl win.

The donation will go to good use since 1 in 9 men, women, or children don't know where their next meal is coming from.

"It's always fun to have a little healthy competition, for a meaningful cause." said Mel Gibson, Executive Director of the NH Food Bank. She also said "This is great, It's a difficult time of the year for people so this is going ot bring a nice nutritous warm meal 500 people."

Even though the Patriots won the Superbowl, Hassan is going to donate North Country Bacon to a Washington State food bank.
