This Nissan Sentra suffered damage after its driver, Collin Ollivierra Jr., allegedly struck an unmarked police cruiser driven by Somersworth Police Chief Dean Crombie.

Somersworth police chief involved in hit & run


SOMERSWORTH - A Somersworth man is accused of smashing his car into the back of an unmarked police cruiser, driven by Police Chief Dean Crombie, and then leaving the scene - but not without leaving his wallet behind.

Police say Collin Ollivierra Jr., 20, of Somersworth, allegedy drove his Nissan Sentra into Crombie's cruiser, briefly spoke to Crombie - accusing him of not paying attention - and then returned to his dented vehicle.

Ollivierra then slipped on ice and dropped his wallet in the process, police said.

Crombie picked up the wallet and quickly idenitified the driver as Ollivierra.

He was caught 7 minutes later by police and was taken into custody.

Ollivierra is facing multiple charges and is currently being held on bail.
