Somersworth, NH, police arrest man in connection with two robberies


SOMERSWORTH - Police have arrested a man in connection with two robberies.

Police responded to reports of a robbery at the Citizen's Bank on Constitutional way around 1:37 p.m.

A man described as 5-feet, 6-inches to 5-feet, 7-inches tall, wearing a black knit had and blue jeans fled on foot.

After a search, police found a man matching that description on Main Street near the library.

They arrested Todd Elliott, 21, of Grand Street, Somersworth.

Elliott also is expected to be charged in the robbery of a State Liquor Store at Somersworth Main Street Plaza on Aug. 19.

Police are continuing to investigate.
